Mark, Pat, Cherie and I,  thought we'd snob it up at an opening of an art exhibition...at our local art gallery.

the infamous lighthouse...

at Byron Bay.  Amy and I took in a little sight seeing while in Byron Bay, as well as visiting the Byron Day cookie Company as well as visiting the beautiful lighthouse there.

"Madame Tussauds", Darling Harbour...

is a must spot and check out when visiting Sydney next time we go.  It's where you can meet all the famous stars.  A unique wax figure attraction, where you can up close and personal.   I'd just love to get up close and personal with Albert.   But Cath preferred to get more up close with Johnny.

one week until our art classes first exhibition...

and geting jittery, finishing off all the last little details. Nothing like a deadline to get things finished.

1000 origami cranes...

An ancient japanese legend promises anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane that they will be granted eternal good luck.  The crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures (others include the dragon and the tortoise) and is said to live for a thousand years and that is why 1000 cranes are made.
 Prior to their wedding , Jaime and David made their thousand cranes, which were displayed on the tables at their reception.  Such a beautiful tradition.  They looked absolutely spectacular.

Unusual art...

this unusual wool art was displayed at the Brisbane Art Gallery, it just amazes me the time that went into creating this piece of art.

Queen Street Mall...

It is just beautiful what they have done in Brisbane Mall, with all this amazing sculpture on the walls of the buildings.

Mummy; Secrets of the Tomb.

About to come face to face with the Mummy of Nesperennub.  A great exhibition in Brisbane at the moment. Very worth while to see the fantastic 3D film and the 100 ancient objects being displayed.
